Groups and regional meetings
The Quekett is always interested in holding meetings outside London, and our recent programmes have included meetings in Lockington, joint meetings with the Bournemouth Natural Science Society, and joint meetings with the Postal Microscopical Society in Langton Matravers and Penkridge.
The South Thames Discussion Group used to hold full-day meetings once a year with talks, demonstrations and gossip, and in 2022 we started arranging similar events at various locations in the Home Counties.
Also starting in 2022, a group of enthusiasts launched the Anglian Microscopy Group, with the first of their monthly meetings on Saturday 21st May 2022 in Crowfield Village Hall, Stone Street, Crowfield, Suffolk, IP6 9SZ.
Later in 2022, a group of enthusiasts launched the Milton Microscopy Group for amateur microscopists in and around Cambridgeshire.
The Quekett can provide funding to cover the cost of hiring a venue such as a church hall, so please contact the Club if you are interested in arranging a regional meeting.
