Recommendations to contributors
The Editor welcomes short papers relating to the practical and constructional aspects of microscopy.
Articles should be sent to the Editor by e-mail, either as text within the e-mail or as an attached Microsoft Word document.
Send any good quality photos and illustrations separately, either attached to an e-mail if the total files size does not exceed 4 MB, or (if larger) via an online file transfer provider such as WeTransfer.com or MailBigFile.com. Magnification on micrographs should be in the form of a bar, giving lengths in mm or µm.
The views expressed in the articles are yours as the author and not necessarily those of the Editor or the Club.
By submitting your articles or images you agree to let us publish them in the Bulletin and on our website. You retain your copyright as the author.
Please note however, that the originator of any material, including images and text, published in the Journal/Bulletin retains the copyright. If you include images by others, you need their permission to use it in your contribution and need to include a credit to them. The following exceptions occur: 1. Material created more than 70 years. 2. Material marked as ‘Public Domain’ at the source you found them. If using images from Wikimedia Commons – you can check any licence and conditions. In circumstances where the copyright owner or representative is unable to provide permission, the editor may be able to use it under ‘fair use’. Unless you specifically object, by submitting your image to any one of the Journal, Bulletin or Quekett website, or Quekett social media, you permit the Quekett to use the image or content in any of our other Quekett media.
