Christmas quiz and lecture

Saturday 7th December 2019

A keen bunch of Quekett members attended the final meeting of the year, which was held in the PA135 Meeting Room at the Natural History Museum and followed the usual pattern, with a quiz, refreshments and a lecture (Fantastic beasts and how to find them, by Tony Pattinson).

Dennis Fullwood was elected an Honorary Member of the Quekett Microscopical Club at the committee meeting in October, and Phil Greaves presented him with his certificate.

Tony Pattinson is well known to many microscopists for his series of “The Freshwater Microscopist” books and is a regular at the Reading Convention and the Quekett excursions to the Basingstoke Canal and Wimbledon Common.

Charles Hussey recorded the lecture and the discussion that followed, and a video is available in the password-protected area of the website.
